Tired of those Sick Viruses??
Where to start ?? Those Viruses have been made By Sick Minds People , They think that they're cool when they see those viruses Spread allover IRC and between the users . In this site , You'll Know how to protect Yourself against them and How To Get rid of them if You already have them .
- What do they do ??
The first Version of those *.exe Viruses was Dmsetup.exe . When Running it , it makes Copies of itself Located in Different Locations in the Computer's Directories . Add to that , a File Called Mircdel.ini which contains a Backdoor to Make people quit IRC with some silly messages AND Auto send the Virus to users when they join a Channel you are Already on .
But Becareful , The new version of dmsetup.exe comes with a RANDOM Name . I discovered that the virus name MUST Include one of the words below :
BUNY , LOVE , SEX , TOE , PEE , INST , GOD , FUN , ICQ , IRC , MIRC , POWR , JNK , NUKE , UDP , LIM , SET , CFG , HELL , PUSY , TIT , DICK , 69 , 101 , YES , ARM , 311 , BUD , FUCK , EAT .
- What do you mean by a RANDOM name ??
The Virus will Make a name for itself using TWO of the words Shown Above , For Example , If the Virus Used the word YES and the word BUD , the Virus Name will be YESBUD.exe .
- How can I protect myself against this virus ??
First You have to set the DCC Get option on Ask Before Get , and DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING FROM STRANGERS .
- Ok , What if I got the Virus in my computer ?
If You are sure you got the virus in your computer then make sure to get Its name , Because as I said , It comes with a random name , then follow these steps :
- Turn your Remote OFF by the Command /REMOTE OFF
- Then Unload the virus *.ini file , Eg. The Virus name is YESBUD.exe , then the *.ini file is called Yesbud.ini . To Unload it type this /UNLOAD -rs Yesbud.ini .. and an Unload Message will Show up in Your IRC Client .
- After You Unload the File , make sure to REMOVE it by the Command /remove Yesbud.ini .. then a Remove message will show up .
- Now It's Time to Remove the DAMN *.exe Virus file , Click on START , FIND , FILES OR FOLDERS , then in the "Named" Field type Your Virus name
- That must show you where the virus is located in your Computer , I guess there's no problem about how to delete them .

- How can I know if someone got the virus ??
Well , there are some signs , which are :
- Usually , the Users Ident is "typehere"
- Auto sending Files when people Join the Channel
- a QUIT with this silly Quit message (Waa! Some one told me off. }DM2{)
- When running the Virus a Question will appear "Press anykey .." , When pressing anykey , You'll see Lots of Colored Circles Moving Up .
